At Google Cloud’s Venice office during LA Tech Week 2025, Model Medicines Founder and CEO Daniel Haders II, Ph.D., joined a featured healthcare and life sciences program exploring the future of AI-enabled drug discovery. Dr. Haders discussed how Model Medicines uses GALILEO™ and Google Cloud infrastructure to run ultra-large virtual screens at unprecedented scale, including the company’s publicly reported 325-billion-molecule machine-learning bioactivity screen.

The presentation highlighted how this ultra-large virtual screening approach led to the discovery of MDL-4102, a potent and selective BRD4 inhibitor advancing toward clinical development. Dr. Haders also shared how Model Medicines is continuing to expand its platform capabilities, including work toward a 1-trillion-compound screen and a growing pipeline of first-in-class small molecules such as MDL-001, the company’s broad-spectrum antiviral candidate.
